Overview

The Associate Investor Relations Analyst will serve as a key member of our Investor Relations team. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the development of PPL’s investment thesis and value proposition to the financial community.

 

The Associate Analyst will be responsible for developing marketing material for institutional investors, ensuring transparent disclosures of PPL’s financial performance, strategic vision, and growth opportunities. This includes presentations and prepared remarks for PPL’s senior management to deliver to external audiences for our quarterly earnings calls, investor conferences and roadshows. The position also requires strong analytical skills to review and summarize PPL’s stock performance and investor sentiment.

 

The Associate Investor Relations Analyst resides in the Finance organization and will report to the Manager - Investor Relations, while working closely with the Vice President – Investor Relations. This role is primarily an internal-facing position, with the opportunity to develop into an external-facing role with sell-side analysts and investors. This is a highly visible position with key leaders at PPL for an individual who demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical aptitude, strategic thinking, and extreme attention to detail. Depends on others for instruction, guidance, and direction.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the IR team in developing strategic communications to investors, including presentations, remarks, press releases and Q&A for PPL’s quarterly earnings calls and other investor marketing materials.
  • Analyzes trends in sector stock price performance, relative valuation, investor ownership, and peer investor communications.
  • Collaborates with Finance, Operations, Legal, and Public Affairs teams to develop and maintain internal reference materials, such as talking points and industry data for executives.
  • Reviews sell-side research and provides strategic intelligence on investor sentiment.
  • Monitors industry trends and communicates key findings to broader IR team.
  • Assists with investor and research analyst requests.
  • Performs ad hoc analyses to support corporate decision-making and external communication strategy.
  • Supports the administration of the Investor section of PPL’s website.
  • Modest business travel required for Associate Analyst position.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and copy-editing skills.
  • Exceptionally high attention to detail.
  • Comfort with fast-paced, demanding environment.
